A well attended luncheon at Truffleduck officially launched Donna Bowman’s 300-kilometre walk around Victoria to raise awareness of her ‘Those Left Behind’ campaign.
The event was part of Donna’s ongoing efforts to deepen the community’s understanding of the challenges faced by those who are left behind after suicide, especially families and friends of police.
The mission is inspired by personal experiences after her husband took his own life 12 months ago.
Donna’s upcoming walk will take about nine weeks with the hope to raise $1 million for the Victoria Police Mental Health Unit.
